Semi-Permanent Brows

Our brow artists at the Loft SWS have trained in a number of different types of semi-permanent makeup techniques. Ranging from Microblading training with the Phi Brow brand, Embrowdery, and Micropigmentation. We find after extensive training that Microblading and Micropigmentation are the best forms of semi-permanent makeup.

Micropigmentation

Micropigmentation is a form of semi-permanent makeup. A machine is used with a “nano” needle to pierce the skin and insert the pigment. The treatment can last between 1-2 years depending on your skin and how your body will break down the pigment. Your first treatment can take up to 3.5 hours from start to finish, and your follow-up top-up can take up to 1.5 hours.

Micropigmentation uses a number of different techniques from hair strokes to Ombre powder and finally hybrid which is a combination of both hair strokes and powder brows.

Treatment process

Consultation

Initially, we will ask you to send us a photo of your brows make-up free, this is to ensure that you are suitable for the treatment. On the day of the treatment, we start with a consultation and our artists will go through everything you need to know about your brow treatment.

Mapping

We start with mapping out a brow shape to suit you. We will always enhance the natural shape that you have, however, if you do not have much brow hair to work with we will create a natural brow to suit you and your features.

Choosing the correct pigment

Once you’re happy with the shape that has been designed we will then pick a suitable colour that will work well with your skin tone and natural hair colour.

Creating the brow

We start creating your bespoke brow by using the machine with the nano needle.

Finishing

When the shape has been created we will tidy any unwanted hairs around the brows and use some aftercare cream to soothe the brow.

Aftercare

We will finish the treatment by going through your aftercare advice with you.

Am I suitable for the treatment?

As a rule, we do not go over other artist’s work this includes if you have your brows previously tattooed, microbladed or micropigmented.

This treatment is not suitable if you are pregnant.

If you have oily skin, the pigment may not last as long in the skin and may need to be topped up more frequently.

If you have light/fair skin, your skin can be a little more sensitive to the micropigmentation treatment.
